Recently I found a tired bee on the walkway up to my flat, free for any careless foot to tread on, but too tired to move. I decided to save it and rushed inside to mix some sugar and water together which I gave to the bee on the end of a spoon. It took the offering and after a few minutes happily buzzed on its way again.
These little guys are so fragile and so important to humanity's existance, I felt a need to respond by creating these works in pen and ink which I'm whimsically calling my 'Bee Series'. This is very much a project on the move, and I'll be adding more to it in the coming weeks. I hope you enjoy!
